CommentsThe years are passing and Viet Nam has become an old war, yet I have vivid memories of my year with the EMU's. I am very proud to have served with such an outstanding unit! I have a 135th patch sewn onto the front of one of my jackets! I miss my friends, Shook, Moe Vorno, Beeper Bostedt, Appy, Evert Semineau. I extend my humble gratitude to so many pretty Saigon girls who offered short time pleasures from a long time war! I salute all of you vet comrades, and carry a quiet place in my heart for those who lost their young lives in the Viet Nam war.

CommentsI believe I was Taipan 26 until I was wounded and evacuated in Feb 1968. I am very impressed with your web site-- brought back some memories. I have been in contact with Bobby Allen in recent months, and I hope to be in contact with others of you as well. I am now a retired banker in Harker Heights, TX (next door to Ft. Hood). I have continued flying--am proud owner of a Beechcraft Bonanza.
CommentsI just got back from a reunion of the 191st AHC in Tulsa. Deployed to Vietnam with them in May of 1967. Was infused to the 135th AHC about October of 1967. The reunion was great! About 50 of the guys attended. Saw some guys I had not seen since 1967. There were a lot of laughs and some tears too. We held a memorial service at the grave of a pilot lost 2-1-68. Carol and I will be at the reunion next May. I strongly recommend you attend the reunion It is an experience you will never forget.

CommentsI did not serve in Vietnam, however I believe sites such as this are of huge importence in educating our young & not so young. It will also be very valuable in maintaining our patriotism. I feel proud & honoured to have visited this site Well Done, I will add to my favorites for easy access in the future. If only this type of education could be adopted by our state education departments.
