The 135th Aviation Company unit crest was designed by the men of this unique company, and used the extended eagle wings to represent Army Aviation and the traditional anchor to symbolize the Royal Australian Navy element. Since this unit was the only integrated U.S. – Australian aviation company in Vietnam, and always sought perfection, it chose the Olympian laurel wreath to symbolize both the unity and the goal. From the official term “Experimental Military Unit” comes EMU, which was the unit’s call sign. The motto "Get The Bloody Job Done" was a direct quote from a congratulatory signal sent by a supported unit after a successful operation west of Chi Lang, Republic of Vietnam.
